We have an exciting opportunity open for an Engineering Intern based in Lawton, OK.The Engineering Intern will be a member of the natural gas engineering team and work with design engineers and drafters to research, prepare, design, and document capital construction on a variety of projects. All work will contribute to the modernization and advancement of our natural gas distribution system.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Engineering Intern will be responsible for assisting engineering staff in the following areas:
- Assist designers with day-to-day project duties producing construction document deliverables for natural gas system projects.
- Assist with hydraulic analysis studies to determine design parameters for engineering of natural gas systems using company Gas Modeling Software (in-house training provided).
- Performs occasional field work to perform construction review for compliance with company standards.
- Record Keeping - Responsible for accurate record keeping related to installation and monitoring of gas systems, including but not limited to pipeline inspections and excavations, as-built drawings, and easements. This involves coordination with the Company's GIS department and may require periodic data entry.
- Research historical installation and repair documentation on existing facilities.
- Update Access databases and Excel spreadsheets concerning project status.
