Hayter Engineering Inc.
Company Overview
Hayter Engineering, Inc. is a civil and environmental infrastructure firm serving the public and private sectors through a commitment to long-term client partnerships for 60 years. Hayter Engineering, Inc. was founded in 1957 to serve the municipal client as an extension of its staff. Established on a commitment to excellence, the firm operates today under the direction of the second generation of the Hayter family. With corporate offices in Paris, TX, the firm continues to serve the
municipal client with the same commitment to excellence, but now also serves water utilities, private developers, industrial groups, and consultants throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Leadership of Hayter Engineering has a long history of working with municipal and local governments. We have served as a consultant, and as employee of local government. This provides a unique and strong understanding of these client types. We understand their responsibility to the community and their constituency. Principals of Hayter Engineering routinely assist local governments to secure funding for their projects and serve as a trusted advisor in helping manage those community assets.
From the beginning, Hayter Engineering has sought ways to better serve its community. As one example, founder Robert B. Hayter worked closely with community leaders from 1965-1985 to develop a water supply system, Lamar County WSD serving Lamar County and portions of adjacent counties. He received special recognition from them in 1985 for his outstanding efforts. HEI has continuously provided planning and engineering needs for the District since that
time. Today Lamar County WSD serves over 7,350 retail customers and 10 wholesale customers.
